Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Logan County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact message may be kept long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is handled within the organization and is not disclosed outside it unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive basic technical information about the visit:

- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each

Logan County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general directions to Logan County Circuit Clerk, Logan County Magistrate Court Clerk, West Virginia trial courts, and the official statewide search systems. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data are not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Logan County clerks, West Virginia court portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search providers. Once a visitor follows an external link, that destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. Their systems, not this site's systems, conduct that tracking.

Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If information from a minor was submitted, contact the site so it can be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with a visitor's location and applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. West Virginia court-record access is separately governed by W. Va. Code §51-4-2, Trial Court Rule 10.04, and W. Va. Code §29B-1-3. Those authorities concern official records held by custodians, not visitor data held by this private site. Visitors may at minimum:
